Maisy Byerly is a freelance illustrator with an eye for people, places, and things with personality. She loves highlighting the vibrant details of our surroundings.

Originally from New Jersey, Maisy Byerly has spent the latter half of 2020 in Southern Indiana, getting to know some chickens and ducks who refuse to be committed to paper! She has lived in New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Minnesota, Washington D.C., Illinois, and China and brings elements of all those places into her drawings. In Paris and Yunnan Province, she illustrated place-based books and in Shanxi Province, she drew a comic series. She has illustrated three personal books and collaborated with authors on several others. Since mid-2020, she has been working with Dogbotic on designs for DIY synthesizer and cassette hacking workshops. Her illustrations for Dogbotic and her first ever homemade synthesizer are on display at the Center for New Music in San Francisco until March 1, 2021.
